[size=4]美国当地时间7月8日，多家美国媒体曝出消息称，中国球员姚明已正式决定退役。目前该消息尚未得到姚明本人及NBA官方证实。
据了解，该消息首先由雅虎体育披露，消息称姚明在过去48小时内已经通知了NBA联盟、休斯顿火箭队以及NBA中国方面他选择退役的决定。随后ESPN也在网站头条报道了这一新闻。姚明与火箭队的合同在上赛季结束后已经到期，过去两个赛季他们都无缘NBA季后赛。姚明因为各种伤病几乎缺席了这两年里的所有比赛，2010-2011赛季，姚明只打了5场比赛便因伤停赛。姚明在五月份表示他的左踝在手术后恢复良好，并希望留在火箭队。不过他也表示要到今年夏天才会知道自己是否还能继续打球。
姚明是在2002年以状元秀的身份加盟休斯顿火箭，其职业生涯场均得分为19分。

的确很怀念，在职业高峰的时候受伤退役又留有遗憾，应该再拍摄一部姚明年！

真的要感谢姚明给我每个周末的nba，没了姚明的nba也没什么看的了！姚明—期待你的复出！

还记得高中时，餐厅里一大堆人围着电视看姚明的时候，不再会有了

没有姚明的赛场也还会继续看NBA，不过没有了往日的激情！

不喜欢姚明，有啥呀---不就是个子高点吗？球技真是很差---还是喜欢乔丹，那是真真正正的篮球

姚明退役了，NBA少了一个大个子，中国篮球也走出了“”姚时代”。还记得开始喜欢看NBA时，姚麦还在巅峰期，火箭还被看作总冠军的有力争夺者，火箭姚麦那是每天必谈论的话题呀！那段时间最可惜的就是季后赛没过首伦，现在还清楚的记得奥库和布泽尔的绕前把姚明防得失误连连。接下来的几年就是伤病加上伤病，中间的22连胜让人惊艳，可惜大姚又伤了！火箭再次折戟季后赛首伦！再然后麦迪走了，火箭换血再换血，姚明静养再静养！自己就不太关注火箭了，看到姚明退役了，有点伤感！祝福他早日康复！也祝福麦迪能追逐到奥布莱恩杯！

看到姚明,还是有点怀念和伤感的,不过他怎么就退了呢?

话说今塞记不是停了吗?休息一年也许伤就好了!

姚明是个伟大的运动员，不仅仅是球技精湛，屡次带火箭队赢得胜利，而且还带领中国国家队在大赛中多次取得好成绩。为人正直善良，俊朗的外表，幽默的语言，迷倒了大批体育爱好者，更为难得的是让美国人重新认识了中国人。姚明是中国人的名片，是中国人的骄傲。由于身体原因，姚明要退役了，虽然不舍的，但是还是希望姚明在以后的道路上走好。我们也期待以后会有更多的姚明出现在世界赛场，为国人争光。

姚明确实对nba在中国的推广做出了巨大的贡献，要是没有他估计现在没有这么多的球迷

我记得安西教练对樱木说过想要在高中毕业前超过流川枫，必须比流川枫多十倍的努力。我觉得对小新同学同样受用，想要有所作为，就付出比姚明当年还要多十倍的努力
